Known as “The Grand Entertainment Palace,” the Tennessee Theatre’s ornate architecture and storied history make it a show in itself. Located on Gay Street in downtown Knoxville, this beautifully restored gem hosts everything from touring Broadway productions to symphony performances and film screenings. The Tennessee Theatre is currently in the midst of a renovation project, which will expand the space for events and increase women’s restroom facilities as well as add a full-service bar on the Theatre balcony level, as well as a donor lounge with a bar located on the main Theatre level.
Just down the street from the Tennessee Theatre, the Bijou Theatre offers an intimate setting that’s perfect for live music, comedy, and theatrical performances. With just over 700 seats, every spot in the house feels close to the action.
One of the oldest continually operating community theaters in the Southeast, the Oak Ridge Playhouse stages a diverse lineup of musicals, dramas, and comedies. It’s a welcoming space where you can experience exceptional local talent.

Their productions often explore timely themes and create meaningful conversations long after the curtain falls. Next in store for River and Rail Theatre Company is a move to the historic Sterchi-Audigier Residence at 2651 Magnolia Avenue. The theater plans to renovate the property and move there in late 2026 or early 2027.
If live music is your scene, The Mill & Mine offers an industrial-chic venue with top-notch acoustics. From indie rock to Americana, it’s the go-to spot for catching nationally touring bands in an energetic setting.

Pigeon Forge is a hub for live entertainment in all its forms. July 2025 Real Estate Market Update: What You Need to Know
July brought a slight increase in new listings compared to June, giving buyers fresh options heading into late summer. However, trends suggest new inventory could slow as we move into fall—making now a great time for buyers to act while choices are at their peak.
Active listings continue to climb, and historically, August is the month when buyers have the most options. This year appears to be no different—RIGHT NOW may be the best selection of homes we’ll see in 2025.
After a slower May and June, July saw an uptick in pending sales, which should set the stage for a stronger August in terms of closings. While July closings were down compared to earlier months, they still surpassed 2023 and 2024 levels, signaling that buyers are adjusting to the current interest rate environment.
Months of supply have remained between 5–6 all year, reflecting a balanced market overall. In the luxury sector, supply is above 9 months—an indicator that conditions may be shifting toward buyers.
Median sales prices have stayed steady since early 2024, and homes are taking slightly longer to sell. This is likely due to the surge in inventory earlier this summer. Well-priced listings—especially in the luxury market—will be key to attracting today’s buyers.
Bottom line? Buyers currently enjoy the most selection of the year, and sellers who price strategically have an excellent opportunity to capture motivated summer-to-fall buyers.
