April 1st kicks off Wallace Week, a week-long celebration unlike any other. Wallace Week isn’t just about marking the founding of our company on April 1st, 1936; it’s a time to reflect on the milestones that have shaped our journey, celebrate our achievements, and look forward to the bright future ahead. Join us as we take a trip down memory lane and embark on new adventures during this special occasion.
A Legacy of Growth and Innovation:
From our humble beginnings with a single office on Gay Street in Downtown Knoxville, Wallace Real Estate has grown and evolved over the decades. April 1st holds particular significance for us, as it marks the day when pivotal milestones shaped our legacy.
In 1988, we took a bold step forward by joining forces with a national franchise, expanding our reach while remaining rooted in our local community. This move allowed us to offer our clients even greater resources and expertise.
In the year 2000, April 1st symbolized a new chapter in our story as we acquired a local company, nearly doubling our agent count and expanding our service offerings to include commercial real estate. It was also the day we moved into our current corporate headquarters atop Bearden Hill, a testament to our commitment to growth and innovation.
However, perhaps the most significant milestone came in 2023, when we made the decision to return to our roots as a local, independent brokerage. This move reaffirmed our dedication to our community and our values, setting the stage for a new era of success.
